{"id":2138,"date":"2022-10-26T09:54:22","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T09:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacionparentes.org\/?p=2138"},"modified":"2024-09-12T15:49:52","modified_gmt":"2024-09-12T15:49:52","slug":"parentes-foundation-travels-to-cameroon-to-continue-with-azobe-and-tiama-schools-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundacionparentes.org\/en\/parentes-foundation-travels-to-cameroon-to-continue-with-azobe-and-tiama-schools-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Parentes Foundation travels to Cameroon to continue with Azob\u00e9 and Tiama schools project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the month of October, the operations director of <strong>Parentes Foundation<\/strong>, <strong>Adrian Forastier<\/strong>, has traveled to <strong>Yaound\u00e9<\/strong> &#8211;<strong>Cameroon<\/strong>&#8211; to continue with the development and consolidation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/azobe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Azobe<\/a> and <strong>Tiama<\/strong> schools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together with the <a href=\"https:\/\/efedi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EFEDI Association<\/a>, <strong>Parentes Foundation<\/strong> held working meetings with the executive committee of the schools and the committee of the new project, called &#8220;OLOA Project&#8221;, to review the priorities of the current approach and identify the needs for its proper development.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the main objectives of the trip was to visit different local construction companies to check the viability of each of them in terms of organization, quality and safety level.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/efedi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EFEDI<\/a> executive committee also showed <strong>Parentes Foundation<\/strong> the location and potential of the land where the <strong>Azobe<\/strong> and <strong>Tiama<\/strong> schools will be relocated. This area has been under construction since last summer thanks to the work camps of schools such as <a href=\"https:\/\/retamar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Retamar<\/a> (<strong>Madrid<\/strong>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/lafarga.institucio.org\/ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Farga<\/a> (<strong>Barcelona<\/strong>), who helped to clear part of the land, drill the well and start the construction of the outer fence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the trip, the <a href=\"https:\/\/efedi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EFEDI<\/a> Board of Directors showed their support for a close collaboration with <strong>Parentes Foundation<\/strong>, through a formal meeting on the &#8220;OLOA Project&#8221;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative arises from the need of <a href=\"https:\/\/azobe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Azobe<\/a> and <strong>Tiama<\/strong> schools to improve their facilities and offer quality education.
