{"id":3114,"date":"2022-12-09T13:04:33","date_gmt":"2022-12-09T13:04:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacionparentes.org\/la-solidaridad-a-traves-del-voluntariado-campo-de-trabajo-del-proyecto-oloa\/"},"modified":"2023-02-15T14:58:24","modified_gmt":"2023-02-15T14:58:24","slug":"la-solidaridad-a-traves-del-voluntariado-campo-de-trabajo-del-proyecto-oloa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundacionparentes.org\/en\/la-solidaridad-a-traves-del-voluntariado-campo-de-trabajo-del-proyecto-oloa\/","title":{"rendered":"Solidarity through volunteering: work camp for &#8220;OLOA Project&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Madrid, December 9, 2022 &#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This week we celebrated International Volunteer Day and we could not fail to remember the work camp that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/retamar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Retamar International<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lafarga.institucio.org\/ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Farga<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> schools carried out this summer in Cameroon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/retamar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Retamar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> alumni and students from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lafarga.institucio.org\/ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Farga<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> school visited the new headquarters of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/azobe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Azob\u00e9<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> school in Yound\u00e9, Cameroon, where they helped lay the foundations of the &#8220;OLOA Project&#8221;, in which the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fundacionparentes.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parentes Foundation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the local <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/efedi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EFEDI<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Association participate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than 50 members of Retamar&#8217;s 2020 and 2021 graduating classes carried out the initial work of preparing the site of the future school and prepared the work field for future visits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lafarga.institucio.org\/ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Farga<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, for its part, sent 19 students from the second year of high school, along with two teachers, to carry out land clearing, construction and social action activities with local children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Volunteers from both schools also participated in social action activities and attended local events with local authorities and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/efedi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EFEDI<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Association.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, under the slogan <\/span><b>&#8220;solidarity through volunteering&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, we want to highlight the important work done by young people who selflessly help projects that promote access to quality education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thank you very much for your involvement and we look forward to welcoming you again next summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will continue to keep you informed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sources:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/lafarga.institucio.org\/es\/actualidad\/todo-un-exito-en-camerun-es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colegio La Farga<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/retamar.com\/campo-de-trabajo-en-camerun-antiguos-alumnos-ponen-las-bases-de-un-nuevo-proyecto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colegio Retamar<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Madrid, December 9, 2022 &#8211;
