It is the only facility of its kind in the city of Iquitos, with almost half a million inhabitants. The home needs to improve its facilities to adapt it to the needs of accessibility and well-being of the residents.<\/p>\n<p>The reconstruction is co-funded by the University of Washington, the Peruvian government&#8217;s Centre for Technological, Biomedical and Environmental Research and <strong>Parentes Foundation<\/strong>.
