In order to reduce the opportunity gap for vulnerable youth and women, the Cristo Rey del Ni\u00f1o y Adolescente Center (CCRNA), a prominent work promoted by the Society of Jesus in the city of Tacna, Peru, has initiated a project of productive workshops and support for adolescent mothers with the support of Parentes Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since its foundation in 1987, <\/span>CCRNA<\/span><\/a> has been dedicated to protecting the rights of children, adolescents, youth, and women in the city of Tacna by offering programs in Alternative <\/span>Basic Education, professional-technical training<\/b>, comprehensive educational support, guidance for children and adolescents, or ludoteca services, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new project driven by <\/span>Parentes Foundation<\/span><\/a> aims to strengthen the comprehensive development of productive and economic capacities for vulnerable youth and women. Three productive workshops will be conducted, providing training and opportunities for personal and economic growth. The support provided by the Foundation is primarily directed towards acquiring and renewing materials and equipment for the workshops, ensuring an optimal environment for learning and practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

During her visit, Bel\u00e9n Alcoado, the cooperation delegate of <\/span>Parentes Foundation<\/span><\/a>, had the opportunity to witness the progress in equipping <\/span>the sewing, beauty care, electricity, and computer workshops<\/b>, as well as to visit the rest of the center and meet with trainers and residents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Future program expansions<\/h4>\n

It is estimated that at least 400 young people and women will benefit from the training during the academic year, which will have a significant impact on their lives and the community at large. Regarding the support program for adolescent mothers, currently, <\/span>21 mothers and their children <\/b>are part of the center, benefiting from the provided care and job opportunities. The slots will soon be expanded to accommodate 50. These initiatives are crucial for empowering the most vulnerable groups and promoting a more inclusive and equitable society.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parentes Foundation is proud to collaborate with CCRNA to carry out this important project in the city of Tacna.
