Description: In Aklan, the Congregation of the Religious of Jesus and Mary run a boarding school for girls from poor families who study in a technical high school, where they teach from kindergarten to high school. In the boarding school they currently host 10 girls from very vulnerable families who live far away and who, in this way, have the opportunity to continue studying.
The scholarship programme of the Parentes Foundation covers the tuition, school materials and living expenses of the 10 girls, supporting education as a tool for social and economic progress.
Scope: the scholarship programme benefits 10 girls annually.
