Since 2019, Parentes Foundation has been working to contribute to a model of society that can offer the same opportunities for everyone, paying special attention to the field of education for children and young people. For this, it is necessary to ensure access to quality education, with better learning opportunities and new spaces aimed at the development of the maximum potential of each person.

In this context, we are very happy to share that, after 2 years of preparation of the EFEDI-Parentes Cooperation Project and 9 months of construction, the students of the schools of Efedi, Azobé and Tiama, have started classes in the new campus of OLOA (Yaoundé, Cameroon).

After the arrival of the teachers early in the morning, the influx of parents wishing to personally accompany their children began, along with the arrival of the transport buses. Their joy and amazement was great to see a dream begin to take shape and become a reality. On the other hand, the students with great enthusiasm were reunited with their classmates and headed to their classrooms.

The launch of the campus in OLOA not only represents the joint effort and work of cooperation, but also the beginning of a stage full of opportunities for the students and their families. The excitement experienced on this first day reflects the positive impact that this project has on the community, opening new doors for learning and personal growth.

From the Educational Network we know and are convinced that this beginning of the school year will bring great things for the education of our students, and we hope that this academic year 2024-25 will be full of satisfaction and important achievements for everyone. Here’s to an incredible year!
