Since its inception, Fundación Parentes has been firmly committed to improving access to education in underprivileged communities, and some time ago it took an important step towards achieving this goal in Ethiopia. In partnership with the NGO Acción, Desarrollo y Sostenibilidad (ADS) and the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, it is successfully advancing the construction of two schools in the towns of Jimma and Semera.

This educational project, implemented by the Amigos de Silva Association and built by BERKAM CONSTRUCTION PLC, not only provides access to education but also aims to open up new opportunities for comprehensive and sustainable development within the region’s communities. It also has a long-term goal: to foster equitable, self-managed community growth, enabling new generations to have the tools to build a better future.

Currently, the construction work in Jimma and Semera represents more than just structures and walls; it stands as a symbol of hope and progress for the residents. We are confident that a new chapter of opportunities and development is being written for the younger generations.
